Ballard Civic Orchestra 2016 “Flute Promenade” concert at the Good Shepherd Center Chapel

On Saturday afternoon, September 16, 2017 BCO will present its 2nd annual “El Grito” Concert at the Ballard Locks, marking a celebration of the beginning of the Mexican War of Independence which has been commemorated as Independence Day in Mexico since 1810.  Just as the President of Mexico rings the bell on September 15 in Mexico City and repeats the original “el grito,” so the Ballard Civic Orchestra will celebrate this Independence Day with shouts of “Viva, México!”
